The obelisk stone memorial is located in an attractive, well maintained small grassed area contains two seats, a flagpole and a memorial garden in memory of Lt R G Mutter. The site was formerly occupied by the Brockenhurst War Shrine and the replacement structure was dedicated 26th June 1921. There are 119 names commemorating Brockenhurst residents who lost their lives in the two world wars.
